Jerry Yang wins wsop Main event
After winning his seat through pechanga for $225 Yang arrived at the final table as one of the shortest stackes.
He bullied his way to being chip leader and then sufffered some huge body blows before regaining his compursure to finaly end 16 hours of play by beating Tuam Lam with a 9 high straight after revealing pocket 8's compared to Tuam Lam's AQ of diamonds.
Jerry Yang also equalled Jamie Golds record of eliminating 7 of the 8 players on the fianl table, very impressive considering he arrived to the table short stacked.
Jerry Yang as tournament winner takes home $8.25 million with Tuam Lam as 2nd place takes home $4.8 million.
A tremondous display of aggressive poker at it's best.
